Montgomery, Texas Lakeside Home for Sale
801 River Rd., #109E, Montgomery, TX 77356
Montgomery is a leafy lakeside town about an hour north of Houston and is the setting for this first floor lakefront condominium for sale. It is on a peninsula in a gated community called Lake Pointe and has one bedroom, one bath, 707 square feet and was built in 1985. The asking price is $197,000.
Lake Pointe has a dark wood/red brick exterior and is surrounded by water on three sides. Amenities include a half oval swimming pool and nice grassy areas.
The home features a mostly all white theme, with white tile floors, white/gray walls and a white ceiling. A sliding glass door at the end of the living area opens onto a nice balcony with sweeping water views.
In the kitchen, the appliances, cabinets and countertops are all white. A washer and dryer are tucked in a kitchen closet. The bath is all white and has a tub/shower combo. The bedroom features dark carpeting (which probably needs replacing).

Next to the shores of 21,000-acre Lake Conroe about an hour north of Houston in South Texas, friendly Montgomery (population 2,200) bills itself as the "Birthplace of the Texas Lone Star Flag" and is one of Texas' oldest cities. Leafy and a little hilly, it has nearly doubled in size over the last decade as Houstonians look to spread out.
Lake Conroe is what attracts a lot of people and is the perfect spot for boating, wake boarding, fishing and more. Trucks pulling motorboats and Jet Skis are a common site. Wildlife (armadillos, deer, etc.) is abundant. Many homes sit on acreage.
The pleasant, non-touristy downtown is peppered with historic structures, as well as coffee shops, ice cream parlors, a winery, a hardware store, antiques stores, sewing places and more. For items and services not in town, The Woodlands is about 20 minutes away and full of shopping venues, eateries, etc.
