Large 55+ Community of SunRiver in St. George, Utah Boasts Single Family Homes, Villas and an 18 Hole Golf Course with Beautiful Views
SunRiver is a large 55+ community on the outskirts of pretty St. George in southern Utah. Building started in 1998 and continues today. At completion, the community should have 2,300 single family homes (and villas are slated to open this year).
Properties come in 20 or more floor plans and feature Mediterranean architecture with a stucco exterior and a tile roof. Sizes range from 1,008 square feet to 3,184 square, and each home has an attached two or three car garage. Lawns are small, and areas between homes have Xeriscaping (cacti, small bushes and decorative rocks). Golf course, desert and/or mountain views are standard. Neighborhoods, two of which are gated, have sidewalks and quiet, winding streets.
Home prices begin in the high-$200,000s. Please verify this with a Realtor as prices are bound to change.
Most of the 18 hole golf course is on the northwestern end of SunRiver. It parallels the Virgin River, offering gorgeous views, particularly at sunset.
Other amenities include a 35,000 square foot clubhouse with a restaurant, an arts and crafts studio, a library, a ceramics studio, a woodworking studio, an indoor swimming pool and more. A resort-style pool awaits outside, along with a dog park, tennis courts, shuffleboard courts and bocce ball courts.
