Great Retirement Spots respects the rights and privacy of our website visitors.  Our site, however, is hosted on a web server and like most standard web sites, we use log files.   This includes tracking internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser types, internet service providers (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform types, date/time stamps and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track users' movement in the aggregate and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.    IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.  We can not tell to whom each IP address belongs.

We do not use "cookies" to track IP addresses.  Third parties (advertisers) may, however, be placing and reading cookies on your browser or using web beacons to collect information in the course of ads being served on our website.   We do not have access to this information.  You have the option of disabling "cookies" on your computer to prevent this information from being collected.  Please contact us if you have questions or need more information.

We do not sell or give our mailing list, visitor list or client list to anyone.

Great Retirement Spots does accept outside advertising.  We do not, however, accept any kind of payment for showcasing destinations.  We are in no way affiliated or associated with the destinations or communities profiled on this site.   The textual ads shown throughout the site are generated by a third party and are clearly marked as such.  All other ads are also labeled as advertisements.

We use Paypal, a secure eBay company, when processing online payments.
